. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Indians scored three runs in the eighth inning without the benefit of a hit and defeated the Blue Jays, 5-3. Andre Thornton opened the stanza with a base on balls and took second on a bunt by Ron Pruitt, who reached base safely when pitcher Jerry Garvin's throw hit Thornton.

After Gary Alexander struck out, Horace Speed ran for Pruitt and Toby Harrah walked to load the bases. Duane Kuiper hit a grounder to shortstop Alfredo Griffin, who threw the ball into right field trying for a double play as Thornton and Speed scored on the error. Harrah scored the final run on an error by second baseman Tim Johnson. [The Sporting News]
