Completing the three-game series sweep, the Rangers defeated the Twins, 8-4. An RBI double by Johnny Grubb and two-run single by Al Oliver produced a 3-0 lead in the third inning. The Rangers then iced the game with five runs in the sixth. Mike Jorgensen and Larvell Blanks stroked two-run doubles and Buddy Bell hit a single for the fifth run. [The Sporting News]
