Larry Cox drove in five runs with a double and single, while Bruce Bochte, Dan Meyer and Willie Horton had three hits apiece, as the Mariners trounced the Rangers, 13-5. Horton, who extended his batting streak to 15 games, had a two-run homer among his hits.

The Rangers had a 4-3 lead before the Mariners pulled ahead with three runs in the fifth inning, two scoring on Cox' single. When the Mariners iced the decision with five runs in the sixth, Cox accounted for three RBIs with a bases-loaded double. [The Sporting News]
