A two-run single by Andre Dawson and a double and three singles by Tony Solaita, who also drove in two runs, paced a 14-hit attack that carried the Expos to a 10-6 triumph over the Phillies and a sweep of the three-game series. Solaita had RBI singles in the first and fifth innings and Warren Cromartie homered in the fifth, but the Phillies led, 6-5, going into the seventh when the Expos rallied for three runs.

Gary Carter and Ellis Valentine walked before Jim Mason hit a two-out single for the first run to tie the score. After another pass to Jerry White, Dawson delivered his two-run single. [The Sporting News]
