With 11 saves and seven victories already to his credit, Mike Marshall was unable to stave off the Royals and drew his fourth defeat when the Twins lost, 4-3. Marshall relieved Roger Erickson in the seventh inning with the Twins leading, 3-2. The Royals tied the score in the eighth with a double by Amos Otis and single by Pete LaCock and won in the ninth when Willie Wilson tripled and Otis singled. [The Sporting News]
