The Angels erupted for four runs in the fourth inning and added three more in the fifth to snap their four-game losing streak with an 8-4 victory over the White Sox. In the fourth, Willie Aikens walked, Dan Ford doubled and both scored on a single by Brian Downing. Bobby Grich followed with a double, driving in Downing. After a sacrifice by Bert Campaneris, Carney Lansford singled to score Grich.

In the fifth, Aikens walked and crossed the plate on a double by Ford. Grich walked and, after a passed ball, Rick Miller singled to drive in Ford and Grich. [The Sporting News]
