Notching his fifth straight victory, Ken Kravec unfurled a three-hitter in pitching the White Sox to a 6-1 verdict over the Indians. Alan Bannister opened the Sox second inning with a single and Lamar Johnson walked.

A double by Rusty Torres scored Bannister and a sacrifice fly by Greg Pryor plated Johnson. An RBI single by Bill Nahorodny in the fourth and RBI single by Bannister in the fifth added to the margin. Nahorodny clouted a solo homer in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
