. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Newly-acquired outfielder Champ Summers belted a homer, stroked two singles and scored twice to spark the Tigers to a 6-2 triumph over the Blue Jays. Summers ignited a three-run second inning with his round-tripper. A single by Lance Parrish, error by Jay center fielder Rick Bosetti and RBI singles by Aurelio Rodriguez and Lynn Jones capped the frame.

The Tigers added singletons in the third on an RBI single by Jason Thompson, in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Rodriguez and in the seventh on a run-scoring single by Rusty Staub. [The Sporting News]
