Driving in three runs with a single and double, Bobby Grich sparked the Angels to a 6-4 victory over the Mariners. Grich singled home a run in the fifth inning and added a two-run double in the seventh.

Jim Barr, making his third straight start of the season, went seven innings to raise his record to 3-0. Dave LaRoche hurled the last two frames to record his fifth save. [The Sporting News]
