. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Homers by Dave Parker and Phil Garner highlighted a 15-hit attack as the Pirates routed the Cubs, 8-0. The Bucs scored two runs in the first inning on a wild pickoff attempt by Cub pitcher Ken Holtzman and a run-scoring single by Willie Stargell. Garner hit a solo homer in the second stanza. Parker clouted a bases-empty round-tripper in the seventh and doubled home a pair of runs to cap a four-run eighth. [The Sporting News]
