. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Scoring a pair of runs in the fourth and sixth innings, the White Sox held on for a 4-2 victory over the Indians. An infield hit by Alan Bannister, walk to Lamar Johnson and double by Bill Nahorodny produced the fourth-inning markers.

Johnson led off the sixth with a walk and was replaced by pinch-runner Mike Squires, who stole second and scored on a single by Milt May. After Greg Pryor singled, Sid Monge relieved Eric Wilkins on the mound and yielded a run-scoring single to Rusty Torres. [The Sporting News]
