A two-run homer by Amos Otis was all the Royals needed to down the Orioles, 2-1, behind the combined five-hit pitching of Rich Gale and Al Hrabosky. George Brett singled with one out in the first inning. and Otis then delivered his third round-tripper of the season. The Orioles' only marker came on a bases-loaded walk in the third inning.
