Posting their 10th victory in the last 13 games, the Pirates routed the Cubs, 9-2. The Bucs scored four runs in the first inning on a triple, five singles and a sacrifice fly. After Willie Stargell clouted a homer in the fifth, the Pirates scored three times in the seventh, one on a single by Stargell and two on a pinch-homer by Bill Robinson.
