. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Tigers reached the .500 mark for the first time since April 26 by pounding the Blue Jays, 8-2, behind a five-hitter by Milt Wilcox. The Tigers took the lead to stay in the fourth inning on an error by Jay third baseman Roy Howell and a sacrifice fly by Lou Whitaker. Lance Parrish clouted a homer in the eighth and the Tigers added three more runs in the ninth on a two-run double by Aurelio Rodriguez and sacrifice fly by Alan Trammell. [The Sporting News]
