A single by Tim Foli drove home the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning and gave the Pirates a 4-3 victory over the Cubs and extended their winning streak to five games. Ed Ott led off the 10th with a single. After Dale Berra struck out, singles by Phil Garner and pinch-hitter Manny Sanguillen loaded the bases. Ott was forced at the plate on a grounder by Omar Moreno before Foli got his game-winning hit.
