Driving in three runs, John Hale paced the Mariners to a 6-2 victory over the Indians. Mike Parrott gave up the Indians' runs in the first inning, one scoring on a balk. After Leon Roberts doubled and Hale singled to recoup one run in the second inning, Larry Cox singled and Hale homered to put the Mariners ahead in the fourth. A single by Bruce Bochte and doubles by Willie Horton and Roberts added a pair in the fifth before Ruppert Jones homered for the M's final tally in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
