Gary Allenson clouted the first grand slam of his major league career, Larry Wolfe hit two homers and Dwight Evans added one to pace the Red Sox in an 11-3 thrashing of the Royals. Wolfe's first round-tripper came in the third inning. Jim Rice added a two-run single in the third. Evans and Wolfe connected for consecutive homers in the fourth.
