. . . where the 1970s live forever!

After being held hitless for the first seven innings, the Indians exploded for six runs in the eighth to down the A's 6-4. Pinch-hitter Jim Norris triggered the uprising with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by pinch-hitter Ron Hassey.

After Paul Dade singled, Dave Heaverlo replaced A's starter Mike Norris and was greeted with a single by Toby Harrah. After a single by Bobby Bonds plated Dade, Bob Lacey relieved Heaverlo and Andre Thornton drilled a three-run homer. A triple by Dave Rosello knocked in the final run. [The Sporting News]
