Willie Aikens' second grand-slam home run in two games, a first-inning clout off Phil Huffman, sent the Angels on their way to a 10-2 triumph over the Blue Jays. Carney Lansford walked, Dan Ford singled and Don Baylor walked to set the stage for Aikens, who homered with the bases full in the second game of a twi-night doubleheader the previous day.
