Tim Stoddard pitched 3 1/3 innings of no-hit relief after replacing Mike Flanagan to save the Orioles' 8-5 victory over the Twins. Jerry Koosman, who won his first seven A. L. decisions with the Twins, was tagged with his sixth straight loss.

Kiko Garcia drove in three runs with a triple and double and Benny Ayala and Lee May hit solo homers in the Orioles' attack. Ron Jackson hit a two-run homer for the Twins. [The Sporting News]
