Oscar Gamble singled with one out in the eighth, spoiling Nolan Ryan's bid for his fifth no-hitter, but the Angels went on to beat the Rangers, 5-0. Only four batters reached base against Ryan, who pitched the 15th two-hitter of his career and had 10 strikeouts.
