After seeing the Angels score two runs in the ninth to tie the game, the Rangers pulled out a 3-2 victory in 11 innings. Jim Sundberg blooped a two-out single to right, scoring Richie Zisk with the deciding run. Zisk had singled, advanced to second on Nelson Norman's sacrifice and took third as Bump Wills grounded out.
