Bill Buckner cracked a two-run homer in the fourth and Steve Ontiveros doubled home Bobby Murcer and then scored on Tim Blackwell's single in the seventh to enable the Cubs to pin a 4-3 defeat on the Pirates. Dave Parker's three RBIs could not prevent the first Buc loss in seven games.
