. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Larry Christenson hit a homer and two doubles, scored twice and pitched the first six innings as the Phillies defeated the Expos, 5-2, for the first time this season after eight straight losses. The Phils took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on a double by Christenson and RBI singles by Pete Rose and Greg Luzinski. Christenson belted his round-tripper in the fourth frame. The Phils added insurance markers in the eighth on run-scoring singles by Bob Boone and Bake McBride. [The Sporting News]
