A sacrifice fly that Bobby Bonds dropped in right field allowed two runs to score and resulted in the Indians losing to the Orioles, 3-2. The Orioles trailed, 1-0, going into the bottom of the eighth inning when Al Bumbry drew a one-out walk, stole second and reached third on a throwing error by catcher Gary Alexander.

After Kiko Garcia walked, Ken Singleton lined a fly to Bonds, who dropped it as Bumbry and Garcia scored. After Eddie Murray was retired, a double by Gary Roenicke produced the third run of the inning. [The Sporting News]
