A two-run homer by Joe Ferguson in the ninth inning powered the Dodgers to a 4-3 triumph over the Padres. Ron Cey drew a leadoff walk. One out later, Ferguson belted his round-tripper to score pinch-runner Ted Martinez ahead of him.
