The Mariners trailed, 2-1, but tied the score after one out in the eighth on successive singles by Bruce Bochte, Willie Horton and Dan Meyer. A walk to Leon Roberts loaded the bases before Tom Paciorek, batting for Joe Simpson, lifted a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring John Hale, running for Horton. [The Sporting News]
