A throwing error by right fielder Ben Oglivie enabled the Twins to score the winning run in an 8-7 victory over the Brewers. The score was 7-7 in the ninth inning when Ron Jackson drew a two-out walk.

He raced to third on a single by Jose Morales and continued home when Oglivie missed the relay man on the throw back to the infield. The Brewers, who blew a 6-0 lead to fall behind, 7-6, had tied the game at 7-7 in the top of the ninth on an RBI single by Cecil Cooper, who had four hits. [The Sporting News]
