With Al Cowens and Pete LaCock each driving in three runs, the Royals rolled to a 10-3 conquest of the A's. Cowens knocked one run home in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly and two more with a double in the seventh stanza. LaCock smacked an RBI double in the fourth, added a sacrifice fly in the fifth and followed Cowens' seventh-inning two-bagger with another double as the Royals posted their fifth straight victory.
