Led by Lynn Jones, who drove in four runs with a homer and single, the Tigers came from behind and defeated the Indians, 8-6. After John Wockenfuss homered for the Tigers in the second inning to effect a 1-1 tie, the Indians scored five times in the third on only one hit -- a three-run double by Rick Manning. The Tigers closed the gap with three runs in the fifth before Jones swung into action with a two-run homer in the sixth and a bases-loaded single for the game-winning pair in the seventh.
