A run-scoring single by Tim Foli broke a 4-4 tie in the seventh inning, enabling the Pirates to post a 5-4 victory over the Cardinals. With one out in the Pirates seventh, Omar Moreno hit a ground-rule double to left and scored when Foli followed with a single. The Cards had come back from a 4-0 deficit to tie the game in the sixth on a two-run double by Tony Scott and two-run single by George Hendrick. [The Sporting News]
