Paced by Bump Wills, who had four hits, the Rangers completed a three-game series sweep of the Orioles with a 9-5 victory. Wills led off the first inning with the single and scored on a homer by Billy Sample. The Rangers added two other runs in the same frame.

Wills and Sample both singled in the second and scored on a double by John Ellis. Wills singled home Jim Sundberg in the third and tripled to plate Johnny Grubb in the sixth before scoring himself on a sacrifice fly by Sample. [The Sporting News]
