. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A three-run homer by pinch-hitter Otto Velez in the 11th inning enabled the Blue Jays to edge the Tigers, 7-6. The score was 4-4 going into the 11th when Joe Cannon stroked a one-out single and Danny Ainge drew a walk after Cannon stole second. Velez then batted for Luis Gomez and hit the first pitch into the left field seats. Rusty Staub hit a two-run homer for the Tigers in the bottom of the inning. [The Sporting News]
