Two homers by Don Baylor and one by Bobby Grich powered the Angels to a 7-3 victory over the Orioles, who had round-trippers by Ken Singleton and Doug DeCinces. Singleton homered with a man on base in the third inning.

The Angels tied the score with a two-run double by Jim Anderson in their half before taking the lead with Baylor's first homer of the game in the fourth. DeCinces knotted the count with his clout in the sixth, but in the seventh the Angels overpowered the Orioles with two-run homers by Grich and Baylor. [The Sporting News]
