With two homers, one triple and three doubles among their 15 hits, the Braves knocked off the Cardinals, 10-2, behind the pitching of rookie Tony Brizzolara, who turned in his first major league complete game. Charlie Spikes drove in three runs with a homer in the third inning and added a fourth RBI with a single in the sixth. Gary Matthews also homered for the Braves. [The Sporting News]
