The Brewers swept a doubleheader from the Tigers, 5-4 and 3-1, as Ben Oglivie clouted three homers in the first game and doubled in a run in the second contest. In the opener, Oglivie homered leading off the second and sixth innings and belted a two-run blast in the seventh stanza.

Both Brewer starters went the route, Mike Caldwell doing so for the 12th time this season in the first game and Bill Travers on a four-hitter in the nightcap. [The Sporting News]
