Completing a three-game sweep, the Giants downed the Expos, 5-3, as Dennis Littlejohn paced the winners' attack with three runs batted in. The Giants scored twice in the fourth inning on a single by Terry Whitfield, double by Roger Metzger and single by Littlejohn. Jack Clark drilled a solo homer in the fifth.

In the sixth, Metzger singled, stole second and scored on a single by Littlejohn. Whitfield walked in the eighth inning, went all the way to third on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a sacrifice fly by Littlejohn. [The Sporting News]
