A grand-slam homer by Buddy Bell carried the Rangers to a 7-3 victory over the Royals, who were saddled with their seventh straight loss and 14th in the last 15 games. The Rangers loaded the bases in the second on singles by Pat Putnam and Johnny Grubb and a pass to Mike Jorgensen.
