Registering his 12th complete game, Dennis Martinez unfurled a four-hitter in pitching the Orioles to a 6-1 victory over the Mariners. The Birds opened the scoring in the third inning on an infield hit by Al Bumbry, double by Ken Singleton and single by Eddie Murray. Singleton hit a two-run homer in the fifth.
