Erupting for seven runs in the second inning, the Brewers recorded their fifth straight victory, beating the Indians, 10-4. Ben Oglivie led off the big inning with a walk and Sixto Lezcano was hit by a pitch. Back-to-back triples by Sal Bando and Robin Yount made the score 3-0.

Yount scored on a double by Buck Martinez, who went to third on a single by Jim Gantner and tallied on a sacrifice fly by Don Money. After a two-out single by Gorman Thomas, a double by Oglivie drove in the final pair of runs. [The Sporting News]
