With Chet Lemon hitting a homer to produce a 2-1 victory, the White Sox defeated the Rangers for the eighth straight time and for the 11th time in 13 meetings between the two clubs this season. The White Sox scored their initial run in the third inning on singles by Greg Pryor and Kevin Bell and a sacrifice fly by Alan Bannister. Richie Zisk tied the score with a homer in the fourth.
