Extending their winning streak to 10, the Brewers rolled past the Indians twice, 14-5 and 5-3. A homer barrage buried the Tribe in the first game. Robin Yount smacked a two-run blast in the third inning, Cecil Cooper connected for the circuit in the fourth and eighth innings and Sixto Lezcano drilled a round-tripper in the fifth.

The Brewers picked up three runs in the fifth inning of the nightcap, two scoring on a single by Sal Bando and one on a single by Buck Martinez. They added a pair in the seventh on a single by Bando, pass to Yount, double by Jim Wohlford and sacrifice fly by Martinez. [The Sporting News]
