Playing their first game under interim manager Dave Garcia, the Indians rallied for four runs in the sixth inning to edge the Brewers, 5-4, ending Milwaukee's 10-game winning streak. The Tribe trailed, 4-1, in the sixth, and scored their first two runs on an infield single by Jim Norris and a homer by Bobby Bonds. After Toby Harrah and Mike Hargrove singled with two out, Reggie Cleveland relieved Brewer starter Lary Sorensen and walked Ron Hassey to fill the bases.
