. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A wild pitch gave the Twins the winning run in a 7-6 victory over the Blue Jays. The score was 6-6 with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning when Bombo Rivera lined a triple off the center field fence off Mark Lemongello. Rob Wilfong and Hosken Powell were walked intentionally to load the bases but Lemongello then uncorked a wild pitch, enabling Rivera to score from third. The Twins had tied the contest in the sixth on a two-run homer by Danny Goodwin. [The Sporting News]
