Home runs by Gorman Thomas and Buck Martinez enabled the Brewers to overcome a pair of homers by Lance Parrish and post a 5-4 decision over the Tigers. Thomas connected in the sixth inning and Martinez in the seventh to give the Brewers a 5-2 lead and hand Tiger rookie southpaw Pat Underwood his first loss after five straight victories.
