. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Lee May belted a grand-slam homer and Ken Singleton drove in five runs with a homer and single, powering the Orioles to a 12-1 rout of the Mariners. The Orioles opened a 3-0 lead in the third inning when Singleton connected for his 24th round-tripper with two mates aboard.

The Orioles then erupted for nine runs in the fourth, all coming after two out. Key hits in the big inning were a two-run single by Singleton and May's 11th career bases-loaded blast, which followed singles by Eddie Murray and John Lowenstein and a walk to Doug DeCinces. [The Sporting News]
