Staked to a nine-run lead after just two innings, Steve Comer had an easy time pitching the Rangers to an 11-2 victory over the Red Sox. Pat Putnam batted in two runs with a double in the first inning. The Rangers then piled up five runs in the second with doubles by Buddy Bell, Al Oliver and Richie Zisk among their hits.
