A bases-loaded triple by Willie Randolph climaxed a five-run sixth inning as the Yankees pounded the White Sox, 7-2. After an RBI single by Thurman Munson gave the Bronx Bombers a 2-1 lead in the fifth, the Yanks broke the game open in the sixth when Graig Nettles stroked a one-out single, went to third on a single by Roy White and scored on a squeeze bunt by Jerry Narron.
