Dealing Chicago its sixth straight loss, the Expos downed the Cubs, 6-4. The Expos scored twice in the fifth inning on doubles by Andre Dawson and Larry Parrish, a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly by Dan Schatzeder.

They picked up three more tallies in the sixth on an RBI triple by Ellis Valentine, double by Gary Carter and single by Parrish. The Expos' final run came in the eighth on an error by Cub shortstop Ivan DeJesus. [The Sporting News]
