Steve Garvey and Dusty Baker drove in two runs apiece as the Dodgers posted a 4-3 decision over the Astros. Garvey connected for a homer in the third inning following a single by Davey Lopes.

In the fifth, Lopes led off with a single, moved to second on a single by Garvey and both runners advanced when Astro left fielder Jose Cruz threw wildly to third. Baker then followed with a two-bagger that gave the Dodgers their winning margin. [The Sporting News]
